Hacktoberfest is an annual global event that encourages contributions to open source projects throughout October. It’s a time for developers of all skill levels to engage in the open source community and make meaningful contributions.

My Contribution to Hacktoberfest

This year, I had the unique opportunity to not only participate in Hacktoberfest but also to play a pivotal role in its local iteration at Unicam. I was involved in developing the website for our local hackathon, ensuring that participants had a seamless experience navigating through the event’s schedule, challenges, and updates.

Moreover, I took an active part in organizing the event, which was a rewarding experience that allowed me to connect with fellow developers and contribute to the spirit of open source collaboration.

Acknowledgements

The success of Hacktoberfest at Unicam was not just my individual effort but also the result of the collective hard work of many, especially the Todo association. Todo, the university association of computer scientists at Unicam, played a crucial role in organizing the event. As a councilor of Todo, I am proud to have been part of a team that’s dedicated to fostering a thriving tech community.
